New Anurag & General Store

The shop is located right in the Housing Colony area of Lohiya Nagar, which is a busy part of Kankarbagh in Patna. New Anurag & General Store has been serving the families around here for a while, and being near the Panchshiv Mandir means we see a lot of people passing by after their morning prayers. We usually open up quite early because that is when people realize they forgot to buy milk or sugar for their breakfast. Malti Market is always full of life, and our spot is just a small part of that bigger picture. We have everything squeezed into the shelves, from shampoos and soaps to different kinds of lentils and spices. The counter is a bit old and has some scratches on it, but it serves its purpose well. During the monsoon, the rain can get quite heavy, and we have to be careful that the water doesn't come inside. We spend our time counting out change and packing things into small bags for the customers. It is not a fancy place with bright lights, just a regular neighborhood store where you can find the basics. My family often helps out when it gets busy in the evenings. We don't really do anything special, just show up every day and make sure the items on the shelves are clean and the customers get what they came for before they head back to their homes in the colony. It is just our daily work.
