Naresh Kirana & General Store

Our store, Naresh Kirana & General Store, is located in the Bhikhana Pahari area of Patna. It’s a very busy part of the city, especially with all the students living in the hostels around here. Because of that, our shop is usually full of people coming and going. We keep all the basic things you might need for a house, like different kinds of rice, dals, and spices. We also have a lot of stuff for students, like pens, notebooks, and plenty of snacks for when they are studying late. The shop is a bit small and we have things stacked up pretty high on the walls. We don't have any fancy displays or anything polished. It’s just a regular local shop with a big counter and some old fans. The street outside is always noisy with rickshaws and people talking, so it’s never really quiet here. We open early to get the morning milk and bread ready for everyone. Most of the people who shop here are regular faces we see every day. We know what they usually want even before they ask for it. It gets quite hot in the summer, so we try to stay in the shade of the shop as much as we can. We just keep doing what we do, making sure the shelves are full and the customers are sorted out. It’s a simple way to earn a living in Patna.
