Manglam Hospital

Kankarbagh is a big area, and we’ve been tucked away here for quite a while now. The hospital is basically a second home for most of us who work here. It’s a bit dusty outside because of the road work that never seems to end, but we try to keep the inside as tidy as we can. We aren't a big chain or anything like that. It’s mostly just a bunch of us who have lived in this part of the city our whole lives. When the monsoon hits, the street outside gets a bit flooded, but we still see people showing up at all hours. Our equipment is reliable even if it isn't the newest model on the market. We don't spend money on fancy signs or advertisements. Most people find us because their neighbor or their uncle told them about us. The waiting room has an old television that usually plays the news, and there’s always someone complaining about the heat or the wait time. That’s just how it is. We do our best to help everyone who walks through the door without making a big fuss about it. The day starts early with the sound of the shutters going up and doesn't really end until late at night. It’s hard work, and we get tired like anyone else, but it’s what we know how to do here in Kankarbagh. We’re just regular people helping our neighbors out.
