Maa Jagdamba Departmental Store

Our shop is located at 15/A on G D Mishra Path in Patliputra. We are right across from the SBI Bank, which makes it easy for people to find us when they are out doing their banking. It is a departmental store, so we carry a bit of everything, from soap to snacks and household cleaners. The shelves are usually pretty packed. Sometimes things get a little disorganized when kids come in after school. Patna can be quite dusty, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the jars and packets. It’s a family-run place, and you will usually see one of us sitting near the entrance. We aren't a big supermarket chain, just a local spot where you can grab what you forgot to buy earlier. The light in the back of the store flickers sometimes. We haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. People come in to chat as much as they do to shop. We know most of the families living in the nearby blocks. If a customer needs something we don't have, we try to remember to order it for next time. It’s a busy street, so there’s always noise coming from the road. We stay open late enough for the office workers to stop by on their way back home. It's just a regular store trying to keep the neighborhood supplied with the basics they need every day. My wife sometimes brings tea for everyone in the afternoon when the shop isn't too crowded.
