Lalan Kirana Store

If you are coming down Station Road in Chiraiyatand, you will find Lalan Kirana Store. We are right in the middle of the New Market area in Patna. It is a very busy part of town, especially with the railway station so close by. People are always rushing past to catch their trains. Our shop is where locals stop to get their rice, dal, and spices. We have been sitting on this corner for a while. The building is old and the paint is peeling a bit on the outside, but the stuff inside is fresh. We get deliveries every couple of days from the wholesalers. It gets dusty with all the traffic on the road, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the jars and packets. It’s a family-run thing. We don’t have fancy scanners or a big staff. Just a notebook to keep track of things and a scale for weighing out the loose items like sugar or lentils. Most of our customers live right here in the 800001 area. They come in for a kilo of grain or some tea leaves and stay to talk about the weather or the news. We try to keep the prices fair because we know everyone around here. It’s a simple business. We open early before the sun gets too hot and stay until the evening rush finally dies down. That’s just how we do things at Lalan’s place.
