Lalan General Store is located in Purvi Bhikhachak, in the Anisabad area of Patna. Our pin code is 800002. We’ve been running this shop out of our front room for a long time. It’s a real local business. We carry a bit of everything that a household might need in a hurry. The street outside is usually full of kids playing or people heading to the market. We open early because that’s when people realize they ran out of milk or matches. It is a very simple setup. We don't have a computer or anything like that. Everything is done by hand. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling, so we have to use a ladder sometimes. It’s a bit cluttered in here, but we know where everything is. We don't have a big sign, just the name written above the door. Most people in Purvi Bhikhachak know us anyway. We aren't trying to compete with the big supermarkets in the city. We are just here for the convenience of the neighbors. Sometimes we sit outside on a bench when it’s slow and talk to whoever passes by. Anisabad is a good place to be. We just do our work, keep the stock up, and enjoy the community. It’s a humble way to live, and it suits us just fine.
