Indradeo Kirana Store

This shop is located on Ashok Rajpath, right near the Pather Ki Masjid. It’s a very old part of Patna, so the streets are always full of people and vehicles. We are right opposite Visit Plaza. The store is a typical kirana shop. We have sacks of rice and lentils sitting on the floor and shelves filled with packaged goods. Mahendru is a busy area, so there is never a quiet moment. We spend our day weighing out items and packing them in small bags. It’s a bit dusty because of the main road, but we try to keep the goods covered. We sell things like salt, sugar, tea leaves, and various spices. People from all over the neighborhood come here because they trust that we have the staples. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that hums all day. Sometimes we sit on the wooden bench outside when there are no customers. It’s a simple life. We don't use any complicated technology to run the place. Everything is written down in a notebook. We’ve been here through many changes in the city, but the shop remains pretty much the same. It’s just a place to get your groceries and maybe hear a bit of local news. We open up early and close late, making sure the jars are always topped up for whoever walks in.
