If you know where the Puranigandak bridge is in Hajipur, then you pretty much know where we are. We are located at Mahesh Prasad Gupta’s place, which is right by the old bridge. It’s a busy spot because of the bridge traffic, so there is always the sound of horns and people talking outside the windows. The building is an older one and we have had to fix it up here and there to make sure everything stays running right. Inside, it’s mostly just whitewashed walls and tile floors that we have to scrub down every single morning. We deal with a lot of people from around the Hajipur area who come in for various health issues. Sometimes the waiting room gets really hot in the summer, but we have the fans going as fast as they can. We don't really do much in the way of advertising because everyone around here already knows the Gupta building near the bridge. The staff mostly lives nearby, so we all walk or take a cycle to get here in the morning. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the patients and making sure the supplies are stocked up, especially when the delivery trucks get stuck in the bridge traffic. We just take things one day at a time and try to keep the place organized as best as we can for the folks who need us.
