City Hospital

City Hospital is located on Maurya Path, right off the very busy Bailey Road in the Sheikhpura area. If you’ve ever been through this part of town, you know that Bailey Road is always packed with cars and people rushing to get somewhere. Maurya Path is a little different, though it still gets its fair share of traffic from people trying to avoid the main intersections. The hospital is a plain concrete building that fits right in with the other shops and houses around here. We don’t have a big neon sign or a fancy entrance, just a simple door and some steps leading up from the street. Inside, it smells a bit like floor cleaner and old paper, which is pretty standard for a place that’s been around this long. The staff usually parks their scooters out front, and sometimes it’s a struggle to find a spot for everyone. We have a few windows that look out toward the road, but we usually keep the curtains drawn to keep the heat out during the summer. Sheikhpura is a busy neighborhood, and we see all sorts of people walking by throughout the day. We don’t have much in the way of extras—no fancy coffee machines or plush chairs—just the basics that we need to do our work. It’s a practical setup for a practical part of the city.
