B.K Tutorial

If you walk down Ramna Road in Patna, you’ll see plenty of signs for different tutors. B.K Tutorial is one of those small places that has been around for a bit. We don’t have a big front office or a receptionist. Usually, it’s just us and the students. The rooms aren't huge, but they are enough for the groups we take. We moved into this 800004 area because it’s where all the students are. It makes sense for everyone. Our day starts with opening the shutters and making sure there is enough chalk or markers for the day. Sometimes we have to move the chairs around to fit everyone in. It’s a bit of a squeeze on some days, but nobody seems to mind much. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in Patna. We just want to make sure that when a student sits down, they actually learn something. The walls are covered with some old charts and maybe a few posters. It looks like a place where people study. There is no air conditioning, just the ceiling fans spinning away. In the summers, it gets quite warm, but that’s just life in Patna. We keep the water cooler filled and keep going. It’s a simple life, teaching and helping kids get through their boards or entrance tests. That is what we do here day after day. We aren't doing anything special, just teaching and making sure the basics are covered for anyone who walks in.
