Bharat Tiles

Bharat Tiles is located over at Plot No B-2 in Ashiana Nagar. We are right in the Magistrate Colony area, which is pretty handy since the railway station is so close by. You can hear the trains sometimes if the wind is blowing the right way. We’ve been selling tiles here for a good while. The shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but we have stacks of ceramics and porcelain piled up inside. People usually stop in because they are renovating a bathroom or fixing up a shop floor. It’s a busy neighborhood, so there is always someone walking past. We spend a lot of time moving boxes around. Tiles are fragile, so you have to be careful not to drop them or they just shatter into a million pieces. We’ve had a few accidents over the years, that’s for sure. My brother and I usually run the front counter. We don't use any fancy sales talk. We just show you what we have in the back and tell you the cost. If we don't have enough of a certain pattern, we have to order it in, which takes a few days. The parking around here near the station can be a bit of a nightmare during the morning rush, so we tell people to come by in the afternoon. It’s just a regular local shop. We know most of the contractors who work around Magistrate Colony. It’s a small community in a way. We just try to keep the inventory moving and make sure the customers get what they paid for without too much fuss. It keeps us busy.
