We are located on Boring Canal Road, which is a place many people know if they are looking for work or study advice. Our office at Aryan Career Consultants is pretty straightforward. We spend our days looking at resumes and talking to people about what they want to do with their lives. It sounds like a big job, but mostly it is just listening and looking at what jobs are available. The desks are piled with folders and we spend way too much time on the computer checking for updates. People come in feeling a bit stressed about their future, and we just try to give them a clear picture of their options. We don't have any magic answers. It’s just about doing the research and seeing where someone might fit in. The office is plain, with a few chairs for visitors and a water cooler that makes a loud noise sometimes. Boring Canal Road is always busy, so there is plenty of noise from the traffic outside our window. We take things one person at a time. It’s not a fast process, but we think it’s better to be thorough than to rush. We’ve been at this for a while and have seen people go off into all sorts of different careers. It’s just a normal office doing normal work. The carpet is a bit worn from all the people walking in and out. We keep a stack of old magazines in the corner.
