Kamal Hi- Tech Engineers Limited is located over in Dera Bassi at the Industrial Focal Point. Being at B-11 means we are right in the thick of things. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always trucks moving around and the sound of hammers or drills from somewhere nearby. We handle a lot of engineering work here. The shop floor is where most of the action happens. It’s not the cleanest place, but it’s an engineering unit, so you expect some metal shavings and oil. We’ve got a small office section for the paperwork, but even there, you can hear the machines. Dera Bassi has grown a lot, and we’ve seen shops come and go, but we’ve stayed put. Our team is a bunch of guys who know their way around a lathe and a milling machine. We don’t spend much on decorations. The walls have some old calendars and safety charts that have been there forever. We usually start the day with a quick talk about what needs to be shipped out. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which is just part of the routine. It’s honest work. We do our best to get the specs right on every piece that leaves the gate. It’s just how we operate. We are just local people trying to do a good job.
