Guru Sikh Acadmy

Guru Sikh Acadmy is located right on the Patiala-Rajpura Road. If you are driving towards Rajpura from Patiala, you really can’t miss us because of the sign. The traffic on this road is usually quite heavy, so there is always a bit of background noise from the trucks and cars passing by. We have been here for a good while now and the building has aged with us. The school gate opens early in the morning for the kids to start arriving. Most of them come by the yellow buses you see parked in the yard. The classrooms are simple, just wooden desks and boards, nothing too fancy or modern. We have a small playground where the children run around during their break time. You can hear them shouting and laughing all the way from the road. The staff room is usually a mess of notebooks and half-finished cups of tea left by the teachers. We try to keep things organized but with so many students, it’s a bit of a challenge sometimes. The building is a solid brick structure that has seen many rainy seasons and hot summers. During the summer months, it gets quite hot, so we have fans going in every room. Parents often drop by to check on their children or talk to the office staff about things like uniforms or holidays. It’s a local school where everyone mostly knows each other’s families. We don't have a big fancy lobby, just a desk and some benches.
