Pandalam Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our place is called Godavari, and you can find us in Mannam Nagar, right in the Perumpulikkal area of Thekkekkara. It’s down in Pandalam, Pathanamthitta. We are a farmer producer company, which basically means we are a bunch of local people working together to manage what we grow. We spend a lot of time at the office handling the administrative side of things, which isn't always the most exciting part of the job. There’s always some form to fill out or a ledger to update. We aren't a big corporation with a lot of money; we’re just a group of neighbors trying to make the most of our land. The area around Mannam Nagar is pretty quiet, which we like. It gives us space to think and work without too much noise. We don’t go in for big advertisements or anything like that. People know where we are if they need us. Most days, we’re just chatting about the soil or the latest weather reports. The heat can be tough in the afternoons, so we usually have the fans going full blast. It’s a very practical environment. We’re just trying to keep the business side of farming from getting too complicated for everyone involved. It’s a simple goal, and we put in the hours every day to make sure it happens. We’re glad to be here and part of this town, doing what we can for each other.
