Charivuparampil Stores is right at 65A, Central Junction in Elavumthitta. We are directly opposite Muthoot Finance, which makes us pretty easy to find if you’re in the area. The junction is always a bit of a scramble with cars and people, so there’s never a dull moment looking out the front door. We’ve been operating this store for quite some time now. It’s a local place where we keep all the basic things a family might need during the week. You’ll find things like cooking oil, rice, and different kinds of snacks on our shelves. The shop is a bit old-fashioned, but it does the job. We don’t have any big signs or bright lights, just the stock and a counter where we talk to the customers. People stop in while they’re doing their errands at the junction. Elavumthitta is a place where people know each other, so there is usually a bit of talking going on while people wait for their change. We try to keep the place organized, though sometimes when new stock arrives, there are boxes everywhere for a few hours. It’s just me and a couple of others helping out. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It’s a straightforward store for the local people. We see the same faces every day, and that’s what makes the long hours feel worth it. When the junction quiets down in the evening, we start packing things up and sweep the front step. It’s a quiet end to a long day.
