Budha Driving Centre

You can find us in Eliyarackal, which is part of the Konni area. We have been teaching people how to drive around these parts for a long time. It’s not a fancy office, just a place where people come to sign up and get their paperwork sorted. Most of our work happens out on the roads. We have a few cars that we use for the lessons. They aren't brand new, but they are kept in good working order because they get a lot of wear and tear from beginners. Learning to drive is a nervous time for a lot of people, so we just try to be calm. We spend a lot of time sitting in the passenger seat, watching the road and giving instructions. We take people through the local streets and explain how to handle the clutch and the gears. It’s a lot of repetitive work, going over the same turns and parking moves until they get it right. Some people pick it up fast and others take a lot longer. We don’t mind either way. We also help out with the license applications and the test at the ground. It’s a practical business. We deal with all sorts of people, from young kids getting their first license to older folks who finally decided they needed to drive. It’s just us doing our job in Konni, helping people get mobile and comfortable behind the wheel.
