Star Bazar

If you’re looking for Star Bazar, we’re right at Gandhi Chowk. The building is called Laxmi Niwas. It’s a pretty central spot in District Patan, so most people pass by here eventually. We are quite close to the Dena Bank, which is a good landmark if you aren't sure where the Chowk is. The area stays busy from early morning until late evening. There are always street vendors and people coming to do their banking nearby. Laxmi Niwas is an older building with a lot of history to it. We keep our space here fairly straightforward. It’s not about being fancy; it’s about having a spot where people can find us. Patan can get quite hot, so being near the main intersection means we get a bit of a breeze sometimes, or at least a lot of activity to watch. We’ve seen the Chowk change quite a bit over the years. Some shops go and others come, but Gandhi Chowk remains the heart of things. We just do our daily tasks and handle the customers as they come in. Sometimes the bank queue spills out onto the street, making it a bit crowded. It’s a bit of a squeeze during festival times, but that's just life in a busy district like this. We don’t bother with much decoration, just the essentials to keep things running. It’s a familiar place for locals and we are glad to be part of the neighborhood.
