S V Govt Polytechnic

Our school, S V Govt Polytechnic, is located over in Kharagpur, West Bengal. We are at the 721302 pin code area. It’s an older campus, and it definitely feels that way when you walk through the halls. We don't have the high-tech fancy equipment that some of those private colleges might have, but we have a lot of history here. The staff and the students just get on with things. It’s a place for learning practical skills and getting a diploma so people can find decent work. You’ll see students hanging out near the gates or walking to their next lab session. The buildings could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the gardens are a bit overgrown, but it’s home to us. We don't spend time writing glossy brochures with fake-looking models. These are real students working hard to learn engineering and technical trades. Kharagpur is a bit of a student town, so we fit right in. Life here is mostly about the schedule of classes and the exams that come around every few months. It can be a bit stressful during those times, but otherwise, it’s a steady pace. We are just a government institution doing what we are supposed to do for the local youth. It’s not always pretty, but it’s an important part of the community here in West Bengal. We just keep the doors open.
