Ramnvas Singh

My name is Ramnvas Singh and my business is right here in Village Naikuri. We are under the Post of Tamluk in the East Midnapore district. This is a rural area, so things move a bit slower than in the big towns. I’ve lived in Naikuri all my life. The business is just me and a few local men. We handle things related to the village needs and agriculture. It’s not a formal office with air conditioning or computers. We mostly work out of a small shed and spend a lot of time in the fields or traveling to Tamluk. People know me by name, so I didn't see the need for a fancy company name. If you ask anyone in the village where Ramnvas Singh is, they can point you to my place. We don't have any brochures or marketing people. We just do the work and word gets around. The roads in East Midnapore can be a bit rough after the monsoon, but we manage. We aren't trying to grow into a massive corporation. We just want to do good work for our neighbors and earn a decent living. It’s a quiet life, mostly. We start early in the morning when the air is still cool. By the time the sun is high, we’ve usually done most of the heavy lifting. It’s just how we do things here in the village. We like the peace and the local way of living and working.
