Pooja Eng. Works

Pooja Eng. Works is situated in Khamarpara village, which is under the Chichra post office in the Jamboni area. We are quite close to the Chichra Checkpost, so there’s always a bit of movement nearby. It’s a quiet village setting for the most part, though. We started this engineering workshop to handle local repairs and small manufacturing tasks. The shop is filled with tools, scrap metal, and machines that have been with us for a long time. It’s greasy and loud when we’re working, but that’s the nature of engineering. We don't have an office staff; it’s just the people actually doing the work. If you come by, you’ll probably find someone welding or using the lathe. We don't have a website or any fancy marketing materials. People from around Jamboni and the neighboring villages just know we are here. We fix things that are broken and try to make parts when someone needs them. The work is physical and sometimes the heat in the workshop is a lot, especially in the summer. We just take it one job at a time. It’s an honest way to make a living. We don't pretend to be a big factory. We’re just a local engineering shop in Khamarpara. Our goal is just to finish the jobs people bring us and keep the machines running. It’s a practical life, working with our hands every day near the checkpost.
