Gupta Brothers

Down in Village Shibdaspur, near the Shalidah post office, that’s where you’ll find us. We are just the Gupta Brothers, running this place like our father did before. It’s a family thing, really. We spend most of our days out in the yard checking the kilns and making sure the molds are being filled right. Shibdaspur is a quiet place mostly, until the tractors start moving the bricks out. We don’t have any flashy signs or a big marketing department. Usually, it's just one of us sitting in the small shed handling the books while the other is out with the workers. The mud gets everywhere when it rains, and the dust is thick when it’s dry. We’ve had some tough years with the weather, but we stay open as much as we can. People from the surrounding villages know where we are if they need to fix a roof or put up a new barn. We don't promise anything we can't do. We just make the bricks, bake them, and sell them to whoever stops by. It’s a simple life. Sometimes we sit out front and have tea while waiting for the next customer. If you need us, just head toward Shalidah and ask for the Gupta place. Most everyone knows the way. We’re just trying to keep the tradition going and provide for our families here.
