Balgopal Food Products is located right near NH 6, which means we spend a lot of time listening to the trucks go by. Being close to the highway is good for transport, but the dust from the road gets everywhere if we don't keep the doors shut tight. Chakerkend Post is our local area. It’s a practical place to be for a food business. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of product waiting to be moved out. We spend our days checking the packaging and making sure the counts are right. It isn't very exciting work, but it keeps us busy from sunrise till the evening. The floor is concrete and we have to sweep it twice a day because of the dust I mentioned before. We have a small crew and most of us have been here since the start. There’s a little room where we eat lunch, usually something brought from home. Sometimes people stop by thinking we’re a shop because of our sign, but we have to tell them we just do the production side here. The weather gets really humid, so the fans are always running at full speed. It makes a constant humming noise that you stop noticing after the first hour. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get the orders out on time without any fuss. It’s a straightforward way to make a living in this part of the country.
