India International School

Our school is situated in the Kalyanpur Satellite Township, near the Ramkrishna Mission in Asansol. It’s a newer part of the city, so the surroundings are a bit more planned out compared to the older areas. We have a fairly modern building with several floors and plenty of classrooms. The school serves a lot of families who have moved into the township recently. It’s a large operation with many teachers and support staff working together to keep things organized. We follow the standard international curriculum, which involves a lot of textbooks and project work for the students. The campus has some open space for sports, and we try to keep the grounds tidy. It can get very busy during the school hours with kids running between classes and the buses lined up outside. We are not into using corporate slogans or trying to sound like something we aren't. We are a school where children come to learn their subjects and hang out with their friends. The staff room is always full of people planning their next lessons or catching up on grading. We have the usual computer labs and science rooms that you’d expect. It’s a steady, hardworking environment where everyone knows their role and does their part to get through the academic year without too much trouble. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
