Gourangdi B.Ed. College

Gourangdi B.Ed. College is located in the village of Gourangdi, near Panuria in West Bengal. It’s a quiet, rural area surrounded by greenery and open fields. We built this college here to help people in this part of Bardhaman get their teaching qualifications without having to travel all the way to a big city. The students we have are mostly young adults who have already finished their initial degrees. The college building is a basic concrete structure that sits right in the middle of the local landscape. We have a few classrooms and a library that houses the necessary textbooks for the B.Ed. course. The roads around here can be a bit dusty or muddy depending on the weather, but students still make it here on their bikes or by walking. It is a very calm place to study because there isn't any traffic noise to deal with. Our faculty comes from nearby towns and they focus on the practical side of teacher training. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just the things that are needed for the lessons. There is a small field out front where students can sit during their breaks. We keep the whole operation very simple and grounded. It is a place meant for hard work and learning the craft of teaching. We are glad to be serving our local community in this way and seeing our graduates find work.
