Seedlings Play School

Seedlings Play School is over in Vishwa Nagar on Vasmat Road in Parbhani. It’s a small place specifically for the little ones who aren't old enough for the big schools yet. The house we use has been converted to fit a few small classrooms and a play area. You’ll find colorful mats on the floor and lots of plastic blocks scattered around. It’s never really quiet here unless it’s nap time. We spend our days dealing with a lot of energy, some tears, and a lot of laughter. Vasmat Road is one of the main ways through Parbhani, so there’s always a lot of activity outside our front door. The parents are usually local shopkeepers or office workers who drop their kids off on their way to work. We have a small kitchen where we heat up snacks and keep the water bottles organized. It’s not a fancy preschool with high-end equipment; we just use what we have to keep the kids busy and safe. The walls have handprints all over them, which we try to clean but usually just leave because they’ll be back the next day. Sometimes we have to change clothes or wipe up spilled juice, which is just part of the job. It feels more like a big family than a school most of the time. We finish up in the early afternoon when the sun is at its hottest.
