Dr. Harivanshrai Bachchan D.T.Ed. College is located on Plot No 101, Khasra No 205 in Sonpeth. It’s a bit of a quiet area out here in Parbhani. We mostly deal with students who want to become teachers themselves. It’s a serious place because training to be a teacher takes a lot of patience. The building sits on a decent piece of land, so there’s plenty of room. Students come here from all over the district, often taking long bus rides to get to Sonpeth. We have the lecture halls and the library where people sit and study for their exams. It’s not like a regular school for kids; the atmosphere is much more focused on textbooks and lesson planning. You’ll see students practicing how to give a presentation or talking about educational theories in the hallways. We just provide the space and the materials they need to get through their D.T.Ed. course. The office is usually busy with paperwork and registrations. Parbhani can be quite dusty, so we are always dusting off the desks. It’s a practical institution. We don’t have any fancy statues or gardens, just the classrooms and the people inside them trying to get a qualification. It’s hard work for the students, and it’s a lot of coordination for those of us working here. We just keep the place running day by day, making sure everyone has what they need to study properly.
