Patharkandi College Of Education

Patharkandi College Of Education is located up in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. We are in the Papumpare district, specifically in the area known as Cona. The scenery around here is really something with all the hills, but it can make travel a bit difficult when the weather is bad. This is a place where we train people who want to become teachers. Because it’s a college of education, the students here are a bit older than school kids and they are usually quite serious about their work. They come from many different parts of Arunachal Pradesh to stay here and attend their classes. Our campus is simple and functional. We have the classrooms for the lectures and some small offices for the staff. It is often very misty or raining here in Itanagar, so the building can feel a bit cold sometimes, but we are all used to it. We don't have much fancy technology in the rooms, just the things that actually help people learn how to manage a class. The staff are mostly local people who have been working in schools for a long time. They don't use a lot of big academic words. They just show the students how to explain things to kids and keep a classroom organized. It’s a quiet place for the most part. We just focus on the lessons and making sure everyone is ready for their jobs in the schools across our state.
