Maa Sharda Mahila Kisan Producer Company Limited

We are a group of women farmers over in Panna. Our main spot is at Keshrani Gaund’s place in Gram Mahuadol, near the Kalda post office. It’s way out in the Pawai tehsil, so it’s pretty rural. Life out here is mostly about the land and the crops. We decided to start this producer company so we could have more of a say in how our farming is done and how we sell our stuff. It’s not always easy balancing the work in the fields with taking care of our homes, but we do it together. We meet up at the house to discuss things like seed prices or which market is better to go to. It’s a very simple setup. We don't have computers or fancy desks; we mostly just sit and talk through the problems. The roads to Mahuadol can get pretty rough, especially during the monsoon, but we’re used to it. We all know each other well because we’ve lived in this village our whole lives. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity. We just want to make sure our hard work in the fields pays off and that our families have what they need. It’s just a group of local women trying to make things a bit better for ourselves and our community here in Panna without any polished talk.
