Shop Number 1 on Sanoli Road is where we spend our time. Being right opposite the Kaashi Giri Mandir means we see a lot of activity every day. Our business is a mix of lighting and wedding planning. Because of that, the floor is usually covered in fabric rolls and boxes of bulbs. Panipat gets very busy during the wedding season, so we are often running around. Sanoli Road stays packed with rickshaws and people making noise. We’ve been in this specific shop for years now. There aren't any glass display cases or fancy carpets here. Everything is just out in the open for people to see. On some days, we are out at a venue all night and the shop is quiet the next morning. Our team is small, mostly family members helping out. Fancy sales talk isn't our thing. We just show what’s available and talk about what fits the budget. It’s practical work that keeps us moving. The bells from the mandir across the street ring every evening, which is a nice sound to work to. Most of the community knows us by now. We usually stay open late when there’s a big event coming up. It can be a lot of pressure, but we like the energy of the street. We just keep the lights on and help where we can with the celebrations. It is a busy life on Sanoli Road.
