Mangalya Stone Depo.

Down on Karmala Road in Bhosre, you'll find Mangalya Stone Depo at Plot No-89. We're situated in Kurduvadi, pretty close to the ITI of Hindavi College. It's a dusty area, mostly because of the type of work we do. We have piles of stones everywhere. Different sizes, different shapes. Some are for walls, some for floors. We spend our days sorting through them. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean. By the end of the shift, everything is covered in a fine layer of gray. We have a small office on the plot, but mostly we’re outside. The sun can be quite harsh out here in Kurduvadi. We drink a lot of water and keep at it. Customers usually come by with a truck or a tractor to pick up their loads. We help them load it up, or sometimes we arrange a driver if they need one. It’s basic labor. We don't have a fancy marketing plan. People know we're here because they see the stacks of stone from the road. We've got a lot of regulars from the local villages who come back every time they’re building something new. It’s a simple life. We start early, close when it gets dark, and do it all again the next day. The college students walk past every day and sometimes ask for directions. We’ve got a dog that hangs around the yard too, he’s friendly enough.
