Galaxy Marbles

We are located out in Korti Village, which is part of the Pandharpur Taluka. Being in the Solapur District means it gets incredibly hot during the summer months. Our yard is right near the Central School, so we often hear the kids playing or the bell ringing throughout the day. It’s a bit of a dusty spot, especially with all the marble we keep here. We spend a lot of time unloading heavy blocks and trying to find space for new arrivals. The stone comes in all different sizes and colors. Sometimes we have to move twenty slabs just to get to the one a customer wants to see. It’s back-breaking work, but we are used to it by now. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the crane and the forklift. We see people coming from all over the district looking for something for their floors. We aren't big city people, just locals trying to run a business in the village. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around for it to come back so we can use the machinery. We just take it as it comes. It's a quiet life mostly, aside from the noise of the stone cutting. We keep things simple and just focus on the work at hand. Every piece of stone we sell is something we've probably moved four or five times ourselves.
