The lab is located at Flat No 406 in the GH 17 building of the Mansa Devi Complex. It is not a huge place, just a regular flat we converted into our working space. Most days, we are busy with samples and keeping the equipment running right. The elevator in the building is a bit slow, so we often just take the stairs if we are in a hurry. Mansa Devi Complex is a busy neighborhood, but our floor stays relatively quiet. We have been here for a few years now. The walls are a bit plain, and we have folders stacked up on the desks because there is never enough shelf space. We just focus on the daily tasks and getting the results out to whoever needs them. It is just a few of us here. We spend a lot of time drinking tea and looking at data. Sometimes people get lost looking for 406 because the building layout is a bit confusing to visitors. We keep the windows shut most of the time because the dust from the street gets in otherwise. It is a simple setup with basic furniture and our lab gear. We do not have a fancy reception area or anything like that. It is just a practical spot where we get our work done every day from morning until the evening light fades out.
