Sunshine Play Way School

If you go into the Housing Board Colony in Kalka, you’ll find Sunshine Play Way School. It’s a small place specifically for the little ones who aren't quite ready for big school yet. The building is nestled right in the residential area, so it’s pretty quiet compared to the main roads. We have a few rooms filled with colorful toys, small chairs, and mats on the floor where the kids sit. Most of the day is spent doing simple things like learning the alphabet, drawing pictures, or just playing together in the small outdoor space we have. It’s a very local feel here; many of the parents live just a few streets away and walk their children over in the morning. You hear a lot of laughter and the occasional crying when someone drops their snack, which is just how it goes with kids this age. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just a few of us looking after the children and making sure they have a safe spot to spend their morning hours. The routine is pretty simple and we don't try to overcomplicate things. We just provide a place for them to get used to being away from home for a few hours before they start their actual schooling years. It’s a modest setup that fits right into the neighborhood rhythm. By noon, most of them are headed back home for their lunch and their naps.
