Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd. is located right at the Kalka Main Chowk Bus Stop. It is a very busy area with buses coming and going all day, so there is usually a lot of dust and noise around us. We are also quite near the Vita Milk Plant, which most people use as a landmark to find our gate. Our work here involves a lot of agricultural supplies and various chemicals used in farming. It is not a quiet office job. Most of our time is spent in the yard or the warehouse handling inventory and talking to the drivers. We see a lot of farmers who come in on the early buses from the surrounding villages to pick up what they need for their crops. The building is plain and practical, designed more for storage than for looking nice. The sun can get really hot out by the chowk during the summer months. We do not spend money on big advertisements or fancy websites. Most of our business comes from people who just know we are the place by the bus stop. It is steady, hard work and the days go by pretty fast when the planting season starts. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the supplies are ready when the trucks pull in. It is a basic operation but it keeps the local farming community moving forward every year without much fuss.
