Ganga Flour & General Mills

We run Ganga Flour & General Mills out of units 5512 and 5513 in the Grain Market here in Ambala. Being in the Grain Market means we are right in the middle of all the action, especially when the new crops start coming in. The whole area smells like dry grain and earth, which is something I’ve lived with my whole life. Our mill is a straightforward operation where we take in raw materials and process them for local consumption. The machinery is old but reliable, and we know exactly how to fix it when it decides to act up. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the belts and chutes moving things between the different levels. My father worked in this market before me, so it felt natural to take over the family business. We have two units side by side to give us enough room for both the milling and the storage of the finished bags. It gets very dusty, so we are always dusting off the ledges and the equipment at the end of the shift. We aren’t looking to become a giant corporation; we just like serving the local vendors and making sure they get what they need on time. The noise of the market is constant, with tractors and trucks constantly pulling in and out. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving heavy sacks around, but it keeps us fit. We just do our work and go home when the market slows down.
