Afzal Egg Traders

Afzal Egg Traders is located in the Rana Complex in Batour village, near the Barwala post office. It’s a rural area, so the pace is different from what you find in the bigger cities. We start our work very early, often before the sun has even come up, because the delivery trucks arrive at dawn. Handling eggs is a delicate business, and we spend most of our time loading and unloading crates with care. The complex itself is a simple place with a few other local shops. We know almost everyone who passes by, from the farmers to the truck drivers who come from far away. Our workspace is just a couple of rooms where we keep our logs and some chairs for visitors. It’s often a bit dusty because of the unpaved roads nearby, especially when it’s dry outside. When it rains, the area can get quite muddy, making it a bit of a challenge to get the trucks positioned right. We don’t have any fancy computer systems to track everything; we still rely on paper ledgers and pens. It’s how we’ve always done it, and it works for what we need. My family helps out with the daily chores, so it’s a small, close-knit operation. We don’t do any advertising or anything like that. People just know where we are and what we do. We stay until the last crate is gone for the day.
