New Janta Metal Works - Dahod

We’ve been here at Juni Kacheri in Dahod for quite a while now. The building is old, but it’s where we do all our metal work. Dahod is a place where people know each other, so we get a lot of walk-ins. We handle different kinds of metal jobs, mostly just what the local people need for their homes or shops. My father started this years ago, and I just took over. We have a couple of phone numbers listed, one’s a mobile and the other is the old landline that still rings loud enough to wake the neighbors. The workshop can get pretty noisy with all the hammering and cutting going on. It’s a bit messy with scraps of metal and tools everywhere, but that’s a workshop for you. We don't have a fancy website or anything. If someone needs something made or fixed, they just stop by the shop. The heat from the furnace makes it tough in the summer months, but we’re used to it. We keep a few basic items in stock, but most things we make to order. It’s honest work and it keeps us involved with the community. Sometimes the post takes a while to reach us at the old office address, but everyone knows where Juni Kacheri is anyway. It is just a local shop doing what needs to be done with iron and steel.
