Vishnu Vastu Bhandar

Vishnu Vastu Bhandar is my small shop in Tagor Nagar. I started this because I have always been interested in how people set up their homes. We keep a variety of items that folks like to have around for good luck or just to make the place feel right. It is not a very big shop, but we pack a lot into the shelves. You will find small statues, some brass items, and things for the prayer room. People from Tagor Nagar stop in to chat or ask what they should put in a certain corner of their house. I don't claim to be an expert, but I have learned a lot over the years from reading and talking. The shop smells like incense most of the time because I like to light a stick in the morning. It's a peaceful place compared to the noise outside. I spend a lot of time dusting the glass cases and moving things around. Sometimes people just come in to look around and stay for tea. I think a home should feel comfortable, and that is what I try to help with. We don't do much advertising, word of mouth is usually enough for us. Tagor Nagar is a friendly spot, and being on this street feels like home to me. I keep the shop open until late evening most days. If someone is building a new house, they usually drop by to see what we have. It is just a simple business and I enjoy the quiet rhythm of it.
