Shri Ganesh Grah Vastu Bhandar

Our shop, Shri Ganesh Grah Vastu Bhandar, is right there at Akaria Chowk in Ranakpur. It is a good location because the chowk is always where people meet up. We sell all sorts of things for the house. If you need a new stainless steel pot or some plastic buckets for the bathroom, we usually have them tucked away somewhere. The shelves are packed pretty tight, so you have to look closely to see everything we have. We spend a lot of time moving things around to make room for new stock that comes in on the trucks. It’s a lot of clinking metal sounds throughout the day as we stack the plates and bowls. People come in looking for specific sizes of cookers or just a new broom. We try to keep the prices fair because we know everyone in the area. The chowk gets really busy during festival times, and our shop gets a lot of visitors then. We don't have a computer to keep track of things, so we just remember where everything is. Sometimes it takes a minute to find a specific lid for a jar, but we always get there. The lighting inside isn't the brightest, but we know our way around the aisles. It is a practical shop for practical people. We aren't doing anything special, just making sure the local kitchens have what they need to keep running every day.
