Vinayak Store

Down in Sarafa Bazar there is always something happening and we are right in the middle of it at Bikaneriya Bas 21. Vinayak Store is a small place but we pack a lot into the shelves. It is one of those shops where you have to know where everything is or you will be searching for a while. We sell a bit of everything that people in the neighborhood might need for their daily lives. The lanes around here are narrow and it can get quite hectic when the midday rush starts. We start our mornings by unrolling the shutters and checking the stock. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late and we have to shuffle things around to make room. It is not a shiny mall experience with wide aisles. You might have to squeeze past a bag of flour or a crate of bottled drinks to get to what you want. We talk to the customers about their families and the local news while we weigh out items or count back change. There is a lot of noise from the street performers and the other vendors outside but we are used to it by now. It is a busy life running a shop in the bazaar but we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves if it was quiet. Every day is a bit different depending on who walks through the door and what they are looking for that morning. We just keep the counter open.
