Shri Mateshwari Fast Food

Sumerpur Road Industrial Area is mostly just trucks and big sheds, and that is where you will find Shri Mateshwari Fast Food. It is a loud place because of all the machinery and the heavy vehicles driving past all day long. We start early because the workers need to eat before they head into the factories. The air always smells a bit like diesel and smoke from the road. We have a few plastic chairs that have seen better days. It gets quite hot near the stoves, especially when the afternoon sun hits the tin roof. We don't really bother with decorations because they would just get covered in grease and dust anyway. People come in with their work clothes all messy and they just want a quick bite before going back to the shift. We know most of the regulars by their orders now. It is a busy stretch of road and we don't get much rest until the sun goes down and the factories start to quiet down a bit. Sometimes we run out of things early if a big group comes in from the industrial units. We just do what we can with the space we have. It is not a place for a long chat, just a place to get some food and get back to work. We spend our evenings cleaning up the kitchen and getting the supplies ready for the next morning. It is the same thing every day for us here.
