Shri Bangur Dharmsala

If you are coming into town by train, we are right there on Station Road. Shri Bangur Dharmsala has been sitting here on Railway Station Road for a long time. The 306401 area is always moving because of the station being right across from us. We provide a place for people to stay when they are traveling through or visiting for a few days. It’s a simple building, nothing too modern or updated, but it does the job for anyone needing a spot to rest. We don't have any big fancy lobby or the kinds of services you’d find in a big hotel in the city. It’s just a dharmsala. We spend our days checking people in, making sure the rooms are swept, and keeping the place generally in order for the next guest. It can get quite loud with the trains passing and the people shouting outside on the street, but that's just part of the location. Being so close to the station makes us very easy to find for anyone who just stepped off a carriage and is carrying heavy bags. We don't do much advertising at all. People usually just find us by walking down the road or asking someone at the station for a cheap place. We try to keep the gates open and be there when people arrive late at night or very early in the morning. It’s a lot of cleaning and managing the keys. We just keep things running as best as we can for the travelers.
