Shree Mateshwari Chaat Corner

We are over at Bajarangwadi 3. Shree Mateshwari Chaat Corner is where we make snacks every single day. We start early in the afternoon to get everything ready for the evening crowd. Chopping potatoes, making the spicy chutneys, and frying the tikkis takes a lot of time and effort. It’s a small spot, but we get a good number of people every evening. Some eat here standing up by the counter, others take it home in packets. We’ve been here for a while now. The smell of the spices fills the whole street when we are cooking. It’s just me and a couple of helpers doing the work. We don't have a big menu, just the things we know how to make well. Sometimes it gets really crowded and people have to wait in line. We try to be quick, but good food takes a little bit of time. The water for the pani puri is made fresh every day. My wife helps with the masalas in the morning. It’s a family effort for us. We see the same faces every week, which is nice. Kids coming after school, families out for a walk in the evening. It’s good to see people enjoy what we make. Bajarangwadi is a busy area, so there’s always something going on around the stall. We close up once the stuff runs out for the day. Usually by late evening we are done and tired. We just like making good chaat.
