Shahrookh Kirana Stores

It gets pretty busy here on Sardar Samand Road, especially in the mornings when everyone is rushing to get their milk and bread before work. Shahrookh Kirana Stores has been sitting right here for a good while now. We keep the shelves stocked with the usual things people need like flour, dals, and those little spice packets that always seem to run out right when you are cooking dinner. The place isn't fancy or anything. Sometimes the boxes are stacked a bit high in the corners because the delivery truck just came and we haven't had a minute to move them to the back room yet. My hands usually have a bit of flour dust on them by midday. We try to keep things simple. If a neighbor comes in looking for a specific brand of tea, we usually have it tucked away somewhere. The fan on the ceiling makes a bit of a clicking sound when it is on high, but it keeps the air moving during those hot afternoons. People mostly stop by on their way home to grab a few loose items. We see the same faces every day, which is nice. It is just a regular shop where you get your groceries and maybe chat for a second about the weather or the traffic outside. Nothing complicated about it. We just open up, put the items out, and wait for whoever needs something to walk through the door. It is a lot of lifting heavy sacks and counting change, but that is just how the day goes for us.
