Sant Saheb Provision Store

Sant Saheb Provision Store is located on Mandia Road, right in the Jangiwada area. We have been here for a good while, serving the people who live nearby. It is a straightforward shop where we sell groceries and other household items that people use every day. The road can be a bit dusty sometimes, but we try to keep the shop tidy enough. We open early in the morning because that is when most people like to do their shopping before the heat gets too bad. It is a small place, so things can get a bit tight when more than three or four people are inside at once. We know most of our customers by their first names and we usually know what they are looking for before they even ask. We carry things like pulses, oils, and the usual kitchen stuff. It is not like those big supermarkets you see in the city; it is just us behind the counter. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool when it is quiet and watch the traffic go by on Mandia Road. Working here is steady work. We don't have any big plans to change things, we just want to keep the shelves full for the neighborhood. Dealing with suppliers takes up a lot of our time, but it’s part of the job. Most days are the same, which is fine with us. We just keep the shop going day by day, making sure the jars are full and the floor is swept before we head home for dinner.
