About Priyvart Provission & Kirana Store – Food & Beverages in Pali
Our little store is tucked away in the Housing Board area, specifically at 2-ch-44. Being in a residential neighborhood means we see the same faces every single day. We open up early so the workers can get their milk and bread before they head out. The shop is basically a part of the house, which makes it easy to manage but also means we never really stop working. We carry the basic necessities like cooking oil, sugar, and various snacks. It isn't a huge place, so we have to be clever with how we stack the boxes to make room for everything. The neighbors often stop by not just to buy things but to talk about the local news or the weather. We keep a notebook for the regular customers who pay at the end of the month. It’s a very local way of doing things. Sometimes the kids from the block come over to pick up things their mothers forgot for dinner. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy, just the name above the door. The Housing Board streets are usually quiet during the day, which is nice. We spend our downtime tidying the shelves and checking the expiry dates on the milk packets. It is a quiet, steady life here. We don’t aim for anything more than being the place where the neighbors can grab what they need without going all the way to the main market.
