Prakash Pan & General Store

Prakash Pan & General Store is situated at number 38 on Ramdev Road. We are a neighborhood shop that sells a little bit of everything. From basic household items like soap and matches to the paan we make at the front counter, we try to keep the shelves stocked with what people need daily. The store is packed from floor to ceiling with boxes and bags, so it is a bit of a squeeze to walk around sometimes. We stay open late because people on Ramdev Road often realize they forgot something at the last minute. It is just me and a family member running the place most of the time. We know almost everyone who walks in, and we usually end up chatting about the weather or the local news while we ring up their items. The paan section is where most of the regulars hang out for a few minutes. It is a bit dusty because of the road construction nearby, and the lighting inside isn't the brightest, but it works for us. We don't have a website or any big marketing plans. We just open the shutters every morning and wait for the neighbors to come by. It is a steady way of life, and being on Ramdev Road for so many years has made us feel like a real part of the community here. We just keep the shelves full and the counter ready for the next person.
