P K General Store has been sitting here in Sindhi colony for a good bit of time. It’s the kind of place where the door is usually open and you can hear the sounds of the street while you work. We stock the typical things people around here need, like snacks, toiletries, and some basic kitchen items. It’s not a big supermarket, just a local spot where the shelves are a bit tight and we know where most things are tucked away. I spend a lot of my time just organizing packets of biscuits or making sure the cold drinks are actually cold. Sometimes the delivery truck comes late and we have to wait around, which is just part of the job. The neighbors come in to chat as much as they do to buy a loaf of bread or some matches. It’s a practical little shop. We don’t have any fancy displays or anything like that. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it’s okay for now. Being in Sindhi colony means we see the same faces every morning and evening. It feels normal and steady. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It’s just a store where you can grab what you need for the house and go on with your day. We deal with the usual small problems like a leaky roof or a flickering light bulb, but we manage somehow.
