Om Ishwar Confectionary

You can find Om Ishwar Confectionary over in the Housing Board colony. We have been here for a long time, serving the families who live in the nearby houses. Our shop is filled with all kinds of snacks, biscuits, and local sweets that we keep in big glass jars. It's a simple setup, nothing like those big modern supermarkets you see in the city center. We get a lot of kids coming in after school looking for something sweet, and their parents usually stop by in the evening to pick up bread, milk, or some salty snacks for tea time. Because we are in a residential area, it's usually a bit quieter here than in the main market, which we quite enjoy. We know most of the people who walk through the door and often spend a few minutes chatting about the local news while we pack up their items. Sometimes we run out of fresh items if the delivery doesn't show up on time, but our customers are mostly understanding about it. The floor needs sweeping several times a day because of all the foot traffic, and the shelves always need tidying up. It is a family business, and we all take turns behind the counter. We don't have a website or any fancy marketing; we just provide a place for people to get their daily essentials without having to travel too far from their homes. It can get tiring standing all day, but it is good to be a part of the community.
